I'm scheduled for the 737 ATOP Advanced class in November. Have you done that one yet? Should be fun to get do a full flight from A to B.

How did you like the A320 class? Heard the JetBlue facility and the environment are very good.

Full Flight Sim Orientation at ATOP

Up front, this is my personal experience. I haven't been asked to promote this. Just thought it would be interesting for my fellow simmers. For all of you who have never heard about it, I just took the weekend airline orientation course for the Boeing 737-800 with ATOP (Airline Training Orientation ...

Not sure if FDS is still offering wiring harnesses for purchase but I'd HIGHLY recommend buying one if so. After hearing how long it was taking people to wire theirs and looking at the spaghetti I had in front of me I said the hell with it and had them make me one. Everything the right length, nicel...

I still haven't mounted my glare wing lighting, but I'm in no hurry. I'll get to that. But I thought the following real-world reference picture might be helpful for those wondering how to place some of the lights. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24084834/1621876.jpg Note the MCP light strip does...

Hey Justin, I just finally got my multi-PC Prepar3d 2.5 setup running very smoothly after months of pulling my hair out dealing with stutters. Was starting to think there was no way to get a smooth as silk sim, but it had to be possible as some big names are building this stuff and not complaining a...

Hey Pete, quick question on the EFIS. Are the MINS and BARO knobs dual rotaries? Hard to tell from the pics, which make the knobs look like one solid piece.

That is correct. I used to use a single PC with multi-monitors but did not like the scenery stretching that occurred on the outside monitors. Especially running photoscenery which made it look all blurry. The triple PC/IG setup eliminates that but opens up a different can of worms, not to mention ex...

Hey George, thanks for the reply. I'll give you a shout. I'm now running FSGRW for weather as it supports synchronizing weather across all three IG's, and WOAI for AI traffic which seems to be working quite well and the models are generally high quality. Just trying to figure out how to smooth the I...

Last I spoke to Pete about it, the new MCP/EFIS hasn't officially been released yet. They're still working out some production issues. Hopefully it won't be too much longer. Can't wait to finally replace my GoFlight pieces with this baby!

Right Weather and Traffic addons to go with Multichannel?

I decided to take the plunge and started setting up a multichannel P3D setup. Boy did that open a whole new can of worms! How you guys get things running so smooth is beyond me, but my guess is hours upon hours of tinkering. My hats off to ya! Are you all divorced? My wife is about ready to kick me ...

Dangit, I hate when my noob-ness shows! Thanks to Pete for the quick reply to my "dilemma". Nothing wrong at all. Fuel cutoff levers work just fine. I just had to pull the levers back THEN lift. Leave it to Boeing to design an idiot-proof system and FDS to replicate that system properly. Apparently ...
