Has anyone ever used an external USB video card?
I am talking about devices like the eVGA UV16. http://www.evga.com/uvplus/
I am thinking to use two of them for my B777 CDU from FDS connected to the SimAv software. The computer has power enough, but I am not sure if this would be a good idea or even would work at all.

Suggestions are very welcome!

Hi, i tried a couple years ago a usb video card and didn´t work, it frozen for video acceleration problems, it was a manhattan one but i don´t remember the model.

It worked for regular pc apps like word, excel etc.

You cannot add another video card? No more slots in the motherboard?

All,

Thanks for your suggestions.
I found out that a USB Video card will not for sure. Reason indeed is the missing hardware acceleration, as Juan was writing.
I have got myself a dual-head card, everything is ok now.
