Hi all

I've also some questions regarding the 747 MCP / EFIS / DSP:

When I understand the website, EFIS and DSP are connected to MCP.

MCP features the new FDS-G3 Interface Board. Is this all I need to connect the MCP-DSP-EFIS chain to my PC, or do I need some additional HW like Interface IT to establish the connectivity?

Thanks a lot in advance and BR
Hans

All Avionics software dependent.

Some Avionics suites talk direct, some need the FDS-Glare software.

I will need PSX customers to comment on that interface, I know the MCP/DSP and EFIS work just never asked how.

Sim-A is direct along with ProSim.

AST and PM need the FDS-Glare

Hello,

thanks for your infos, Steve!
I'm running PSX - so I need to connect to that specific SW!

But what I'm courious is, how to connect physically to my PC?
Can I connect MCP directly via USB, is MCP connected to FDS-G3 and then to PC, or Interface IT between MCP and PC??

I'm working on my orderlist, but have no Idea when ordering MCP, EFIS, etc.. what else to add and calculate for connectivity to PC.

Thx and have a great weekend
Hans

The MCP/DSP have an integrated USB interface and each EFIS panel has a USB interface. What I did was combine the three into a powered hub and terminated it on one of my ancillary PCs running PSX. You then download and configure the Glare software package, assign the Aerowinx interface and configure the IP address/port number and you are good to go. Install a copy of the Glare exe into the start menu and when you launch your PSX server it all comes up.

Cheers,

Jon
