I am trying to get my MIP, Glaresheild, CDU working but I'm a little confused as to what software I'm supposed to be using.

Does the Sim-Avionics SysBoard Controller replace Tekworx InterfaceIT MCS, CDU controller and Glare Software or do I still need them?

You only need the SYSBoard Controller now.

MCP/EFIS don't need any assignments. It is automatic. (Same as the ELEC/CAB panel in the OH)

CDU/Radios/XPNDER require you to assign each module. Follow the on screen instructions. The manual is built into the SYSBoard Controller software on each screen.

With the SYS Cards you assign the switches and LED's. Instructions on the screen.

Thanks Steve, that is what I thought.

I'm struggling with getting the various displays to show anything, the all say server disconnected even though the server is running and also see the flight sim on my other computer. Also the CDU starts up and then goes off again and the MCP stays off even though it shows outputs and inputs in the SySController.

Clearly I am doing something wrong, but not sure what.

Quick Start on the Main Screen

Control Panel "Force All Systems ON" till you have an OH.

I have to give Mark credit, he worked out all the SYSBoard Interfacing.

Started off as a "simple" interface program that now covers pretty well all aspects of interfacing FDS products to Sim-Avionics.

I have to say it was really easy setting everything up once I new what I was supposed to be using and you reminded me I only had half my cockpit 😳

It's all running now and no problems.

Thanks again

Hi,

Is there an easy way to migrate the InterfaceIT configuration to the SYSBoard Controller? Or, do I need to reconfigure everything again.

Thx.

Sorry but you need to assign everything. The Inputs are easy and quick. LED's will take a little bit longer. But a couple of evenings you should be done.

We've tried to keep as many of the interfaces as plug n play as possible...
MCP, EFIS, CDU, Radios, Elec cab

But the switches and annunciators will need to be programmed.
It's fairly quick and easy once you get into the swing of it.
Remember to periodically press SAVE. (just incase) Wink

The FDS Ethernet radios, 737 FI Gauges and Display Dimming are also integrated into the SYSController.

You can also run a SYSController on each computer, so you can spread the USB load on larger setups.
ie
PC1
MCP, CPT EFIS, FO EFIS
CPT CDU, FO CPT

PC2
MIP, FWD OH, AFT, OH, Pedestal SYS Cards

PC3
Radios

If you're running on a high spec Avionics computer you probably won't need to split things up as much as they can handle a higher throughput of USB data.

The hardware components can be connected to any of the sim computers, with the exception of the CDU's.
They 'can' run on any computer as the keypress is sent across the network, but you will see a faster keyboard response if the CDU hardware is connected to the same computer that is running the CDU software.
