Hi,

Can someone tell me which annunciators need to be wired as dim/bright and as standard?

Maybe it has been posted somewhere already, but I can't find it.

Thanks,

Geert

You can check the downloads for the interfaceIT outputs. There you find the DIM and BRIGHT XML files and then you easily figure out which should also have the dimm state Smile

[quote="BONATECH"]The new AN1 allows you to do duel stage brightness. If you put your 4 pin connector on the Dim/Bright side, you will need two diodes and a resistor as seen in the picture. If you put your 4 pin connector on the Standard side it will work just like the old ones. [b]On a B737 O.H. there are 9 blue AN1íS that should be Duel Brightness. They are as flows: ( L VALVE OPEN) ( R VALVE OPEN) ( L COWL VALVE OPEN) ( R COWL VALVE OPEN) ( L ENG VALVE CLOSED) ( R ENG VALVE CLOSED) ( L SPAR VALVE CLOSED) ( R SPAR VALVE CLOSED) ( VALVE OPEN) Good luck. JB.

Thanks JB.

PS Forget the image I've attached. I've found the missing link.
The white text printed on the prints covers one connection. Didn't see that one. Confused

Hi,

I've went to the local electro shop to get me the resitors and diodes.
They asked me for the type number instead of the descriptions on the illustration.

It should start with something like 1N.... Can someone provide me with these?

I'm also looking into the wiring on the SYS boards, but I've watched the movie and it shows the old plates not the v2... I'm looking for the STD and DIM/BRIGHT ones (they use 2 cables, and I received 3-wired ones (2 black and 1 white)).

Peter already told me that one black was added to connect multiple annuns together for the ground (saving extra wiring). But what for the dim/bright annuns.

Thanks
Geert

Hi All,

Ok, I wasn't on the same track in the beginning. But, by analyzing further the drawing of JB, I made a more detailed schema. Thanks JB for giving me a push in the right direction. Razz

I sended it to Peter and as he was pleased with the schema, so I want to share it with you all.

Hope it's useful. Laughing

Thanks Nat for the kind words!

Oh, by the way, I've found some annuns (in the package) that don't have an XML file. I'm summarzing them and put a list here shortly. I'll be using PMSystems.

PS I'm creating a fully detailed XLSX (Excel 2007) file for assembling them.
My site whil give more detail, once ready. (sorry for the inconvenience.)

Keep following, I'll try to clarify as much as possible....... (from my side Laughing )

Peter,

I have to take my site temporarly off line (for maintenance), how can I put this schema online?
Sorry for the inconvenience Embarassed

Hi,

So I've been looking for the DIM/BRIGHTS. Thanks already for the replies!

One question, just to make sure I'm using the correct LEDs:
Are they all "BLUE"? Cool If I'm not mistaking, I think the answer is 'Yes'.

Thanks in advance for the answer!

can someone post a front and back picture of the new V2 board with the right diodes and resistors mounted for the dim bright config? I see references in these threads to pictures but don't find any pictures....

Just dont want to mess up a dozen of these pcbs doing it wrong.

Thank you,
Scott

Here is a Quick Guide on Assembly for the AN1 units.
The Dim/Bright part we will add next and upload.
But.. Guys. Please look at the actual AN1 PC Board. Brent has drawn in all the details...
You can see where the diode goes and which place it is oriented. Same for the Resistor. You have a second 4 Pin Header that is involved and wiring is the same really. Promise it is not going to be as difficult as you think. Promise... PC

Thank you Peter. That document you just sent confirms that I made the regular ones correct at least....phew....

The dim/bright one has me a little confused because it seems I need two diodes (one on each side) plust the resistor so just wanted to make sure before I start soldering away.
