Thank you Geert,

Yes, I found your site and that is what i was going to follow with 2 diodes and a resistor per board. I also appreciate you putting the type of diode to use and resistor. I found some at my local electronics store last night so should be ready to go. Your contribution is most welcome.

Your project looks great by the way!

Regards,
Scott

The Dim/Bright part we will add next and upload.
But.. Guys. Please look at the actual AN1 PC Board. Brent has drawn in all the details...
You can see where the diode goes and which place it is oriented. Same for the Resistor. You have a second 4 Pin Header that is involved and wiring is the same really. Promise it is not going to be as difficult as you think. Promise... PC

Hi,
I am at the moment busy with soldering the LED's for the MIP using the FDS-AN1 Guide. Also got the wiring diagrams written by Geert de Ridder.
I have the AN1 V2 PC Boards. According to the guide I need to insert the "cathode" (defined as "Longer Pin") into the SQUARE indicated hole. According to the diagram by Geert de Ridder the square means +. Now here I'm puzzled. I Always understood that the Anode is the longer pin and is positive. The Cathode should be the shorter pin and negative.
Yet the guide says that the cathode is the longer pin and should be insterted into the square (which according to the diagram should be the positive). Can somebody end the confusion? Much appreciated.

Regards,
Legal.

PS The white wire on pin 3 of the harnass acts as positive, right?

I can't comment on Geert's manual but I go by ours.

Black is the Common and the White is the Positive (can also be Green)

Thx Steve, maybe you can point out why your guide defines the longer pin as cathode while the longer one in general seems to be the anode? And is this longer pin supposed to be positive or negative?

Can't look at it till Monday. LED's don't change so whatever is the Standard that is correct. Just have to check the boards and the manual.
