Can I use my Existing Hardware?
While FDS and Sim-Avionics are tightly connected we make every effort to have full interfacing of any hardware product available to us. CP Flight, Open Cockpits, En-gravity, Revolution etc are all in use now with Sim-A.

Connecting an FDS Glareshield module:
• Download and install the latest Sim-Avionics software from www.sim-avionics.com
• Download and install the FDS_GLARE interface software from www.tekworx.ca
• Connect the FDS Glareshield module to the computer using the supplied USB cables.
• Run the FDS_Glare.exe
• Right click on the FDS_Glare icon in the lower right system tray and select - Configure.
• Select Sim-Avionics from the drop down menu.
• Save and close the window.
• Edit \Sim-Avionics\MCP\CONFIG.INI
• Set : START_STOP_FDS_GLARE_INTERFACE=1
• Save and Close.
• Run the \Sim-Avionics\MCP\MCP.exe
The MCP.exe is the interface between the hardware and the Server and must be running.
The FDS_Glare.exe will be automatically started (and stopped) with the MCP.exe (due to the CONFIG.INI entry previously set)

Connecting an FDS CDU:
• Download and install the latest Sim-Avionics software from www.sim-avionics.com
• Download and install the CDU Controller interface software from www.tekworx.ca
• Connect the FDS CDU to the computer using the supplied USB cables.
• Run the FDS-CDU.exe
• Right click on the FDS_CDU icon in the lower right system tray and select - Configure.
• Select Sim-Avionics from the drop down menu.
• The connected CDU devices will be listed. Choose the correct function for each connected device using the Assignment dropdown. (Captain, First Officer, Observer)
• Save and close the window.
• Edit \Sim-Avionics\CDU\CONFIG.INI
• Set : START_STOP_FDS_CDU_MODULE=1
• Set : FULL_SCREEN=1
• Set Screen parameters based on your Windows Display Setting values
    WINDOW_LEFT=0 (Enter the starting co-ordinated of the CDU screen)
    WINDOW_TOP=0 (Enter the starting co-ordinated of the CDU screen)
    WINDOW_WIDTH=1024
    WINDOW_HEIGHT=768

• Save and Close.
• Run the \Sim-Avionics\CDU\CDU.exe
The CDU.exe is the interface between the hardware and the Server and must be running.
The FDS_CDU.exe will be automatically started (and stopped) with the CDU.exe (due to the CONFIG.INI entry previously set)

Connecting CPFlight Hardware
The MCP.exe is the interface between the hardware and the Server and must be running.
• Edit the \MCP\CONFIG.INI and set the CPFlight Support Option and Commport.
    [HARDWARE]
    ENABLE_HARDWARE_SUPPORT=1
    COMMPORT=COM?

Supported CPFlight modules include:
MCP
EFIS
737MIP
COMM Radios
NAV Radios
ADF Radios
XPNDR
Trim
ACP Panel

Connecting En-gravity CDU
The CDU.exe is the interface between the hardware and the Server and must be running.
• Edit the \CDU\CONFIG.INI and set the En-gravity Support Option
    ENABLED=1
    COMPORT=COM?
    BAUDRATE=38400
