Hi,

I hope all of you had nice Christmas days!

I wonder why there are no comparison pictures btw. the mentioned switches! Pictures showing me the switch under daylight conditions, and backlit in the dark! As well as technical information btw. the switches perhaps important for planning.

Another question: when I first go for the K2K, can they be replaced by the EM1 later, or is it a different backplate who makes it impossible?

As the EM1 are nearly 7 times more expensive than the K2K, I need to see good arguments to spend the money for!

Hi Hans,

The EM1 use their own backers and IBL panels. They are not interchangeable.

The tactile feel of the EM1 is better than the older K2.

I am not sure we support the older K2's anymore? Our stock level of the square K2 blocks is depleted.

The K2 was designed many years ago when there was no dual illuminated switch on the market. We created all the elements for the switch and made our panels to accommodate.
While they served the purpose they were not a "heavy tactile" piece and that pushed us to look to higher end options.
The EM1 is the closest you can buy to the real aircraft parts.. Sadly you cannot "feel" the EM1 switch to understand the attraction.. Many of our customers have and perhaps can comment...

Thanks Steve and Peter

Sad that there is no 747 Cockpit from FDS in Vienna to see ...
