I was just wondering whether the PMDG CDU interface is compatible with FSX Steam Edition? At the moment for me it appears not to connect. I have run all of the legacy Simconnect versions from their SDK folder.

I have not tested it. Maybe somebody has?

Thanks Steve,

I've set it up the same as for FSX but no joy - I'll wait to hear if anyone has tried with success. Bought it on the $5 sale to see what (if anything) is different so nothing to lose!

I assume FSX Steam for $5? LOL

The folder structure may be different and might be the cause of any issues. The rest of FSX Steam is the same.

Hi Steve,

Yes, that's right, $5 sale - how could you go wrong? Laughing

Thought the folder structure could be an issue. Never mind, works perfect in FSX so no bother.

David I had the same issue in P3D... What you have to do is run the FDS CDU Software and then once you are loaded up with the NGX you then need to access the FDS PMDG MODULE folder and then run the NGX module seperate as for some reason the software doesn't open it up on P3D and obviously FSX SE... hope this helps, it solved my problem with the PMDG 777 but it should work the same way.

Hi Jammur,

Thanks for the tip, unfortunately that didn't work for me. Might try it in P3D out of interest. It isn't a big deal luckily, works fine in FSX. Since the sale was on for -SE there were claims some under the hood improvements had been made, so at 5 bucks I thought "why not?" Very Happy . Not a game breaker, but the CDU is so good I thought I'd see if it worked.

I'm thinking of moving over to P3D for the NGX and the FDS CDU that i have already for FSX. Does the CDU work with P3D V3 ok?
