I have found a potential problem with the SysController Flight Illusions Flaps Gauge calibration.
So some background.
I originally installed the FDS LED Flaps gauge in my MIP and that has been working fine. I had a Flight Illusion (FI) brake pressure gauge that I had ordered along with my OH gauges, but realized that it was to big to fit into the MIP. The guys at FI kindly sent me a flaps gauge plate so I could swap it with the break pressure plate on the gauge and use it for flaps instead of the LED version.
After completing the installation and using the FI software to change the ID to 187, I started up the SysController software and and after the new gauge was recognized I went to the FI tab and used the slider to move the needle on the gauge to each flap setting and clicked set to calibrate.
However, when I ran I started the complete Sim-A suite and powered up my 737 and put the electric hydraulics on so I could test the flap positions when operating the flap lever, the positions on the gauge were all off.
After some trial and error what I found is with the aircraft running there was a discrepancy in the needle position for each stage of flaps between having the FI calibration tab in the SysController software selected and the SysController Status Tab.
In the end by going back and forward between the two tabs I could set the needle in a positions for each stage of flaps so that when I go to the SysController Status Tab, that it is in the right position and therefore the right position when the flap lever is operated.
Not sure whether this is a software bug or something weird on my end.
If this turns out to be a software bug, I would also wonder whether this could be also related to my problem with the cabin climb gauge not (maybe a tiny amount) registering the climb or decent of the aircraft.
This is a short video showing the flap issue.
