Hello

i just installed the new Model of 777 aircraft and updated the sound pack

all sound seems to be OK, but the flaps the and speed brakes sound are not working

i did not update the server to v1.7 yet

from where shall the flaps sound come out from, the FSX computer or the avionics computer

Any suggestions how to solve this

Thanks

Hello

Yes, update Sim Avionics to 1.7 then all modules are compatible.

Flap sound, from where?
Well you get to choose, you can select either FS flap sound or Sim A Flap sound. See which one you like better then select that one and disable the other.

Don't play both, that doesn't sound good.

Cheers
Michael

The Flap sound has been removed from the aircraft sound.cfg on purpose, as you do not normally hear the flaps moving from the flightdeck.

Also the way FS implements the flaps sound means it has to complete the current wav loop. Meaning, depending on where in the loop when the flaps stop moving..the sound may continue to play for a further 1-15secs.

I have added a 'flaps' sound to the sound module that does sync with the flap movement.
The sound is quieter and more like what you would hear from the cabin. So you tend to hear it more on the ground when you set takeoff flaps.

Having the sound built into the sound module also means you can play the sound through any speakers in your flightdeck.

But feel free to re-implement it in the sound.cfg if you prefer.
