 | FDS B787 Product Showcased Worldwide in Boeing's Dreamliner Demonstration Device In the summer of 2006 FDS was approached by Boeing's Digital Design Group and enlisted to produce replica Dreamliner components for a functional demonstration unit to be used globally at all major Aerospace Exhibitions and Events. Four B787 Dreamliner Demonstration Units circled the globe and displayed to the Aerospace Industry the worlds most High Tech Airliner Flightdecks. Show attendees had the opportunity to sit in the real aircraft seats and get a real feel for the flightdeck layout all the while flying the B787 on approach into Boeing field in a spectacular simulation. Pictures show the Boeing Digital Design Groups excellent layout featuring FDS B787 Mode Control Panel (MCP, Control Cursor Devices (CCD), Source Select Panels, Landing Gear Panel, Display Control Panels (DCP), B787 Throttle Unit as well as a custom simulation control panel. It truly was an honor to be offered the opportunity to supply Boeing parts for the Dreamliner and to be taken in confidence long before the Aircraft Flightdeck was publicly shown.  | EU-Polytechnical - FAROS MTD Conversion to FDS FBPT FDS was approached by a Polytechnical in the EU to assist in converting an existing FAROS A320 MTD into a full FBPT. FDS created the FBPT and from there delievered and integrated FAROS components like the FCU, MCDU, Thrust Levers, Flaps and LCD Displays. The PolyTechnical staff worked on code and have integrated the hardware into the software. A very unique project and one that elevated the capabilities to a very high level. |
 | B787 Dreamliner Flightdeck Development Group (Seattle) With the production of B787 replica parts for Boeing's Digital Design Groups Dreamliner Demonstration Device completed FDS was approached to propose a device that could be used for increasing "Real Time" Testing of B787 Avionics Software. The pictures at left show the FDS-B787-DSTD device running in unison with Touch screen displays and Boeing Proprietary Avionics software. Two such devices were produced and delivered to Boeing in Seattle over the the course of 2007 and 2008.  | Boeing Awards Flightdeck Solutions (FDS) B7478 VIP Contract Newmarket, Ontario, Canada, August 20, 2009 – Flightdeck Solutions (FDS) announced it has been awarded a contract from The Boeing Company for a Flightdeck Mock Up of a B7478 VIP Flightdeck. This demonstrator will be used for development purposes as the program pushes through the various stages of development. The B7478-VIP is a customized B747-800 aircraft and utilized in the capacity of moving government personnel worldwide. “Over the past several years, FDS has enjoyed a very solid relationship with the people at Boeing Wichita and we are pleased to see a second device being ordered for this exciting new program” said Peter Cos, President (FDS). “We’re particularly pleased to see more growth in the flight deck development/mock up part of our business and Boeing has been a huge part of that for FDS”. This contract supports Boeing Industrial and Regional Benefits Programs in Canada. FDS will delivered the B7478 unit to Wichita late in the fourth quarter of 2009. FDS continues to work with Boeing on the 787, 747-800, P8A and KCX programs in the development of components and full mock-ups for marketing and development. |
 | Atlantic AirVenture (Shannon, Ireland) FDS recently completed a very involved project for our friends at the Atlantic AirVenture Company, Ltd in Shannon, Ireland. AAVP approached FDS looking for a robust, highly accurate B737NG Trainer in early 2008. Timing was perfect with FDS having a B737-200 Nose in its possession. A plan was mapped out and the project was worked on over the balance of the year. In lat October the trainer was readied for inspection and shipping.  | A320 FBPT (IFR CERTIFIED DEVICE) Flightdeck Solutions, Ltd (FDS) announces that one of its “FDS-A320-FBPTs was recently certified as an A320/IFR Training Device. The device is owned and operated by Escuela De Aviacion Mexico, S. DE R.L. of Mexico. Escuela De Aviacon is one of the largest Flight Training Companies in Mexico as well as Distributor for Aircraft and Aviation Accessories. “This is truly a fantastic achievement for our friends at Escuela De Aviacion. Alfredo Valesquez and his team have worked closely with the Mexican Authorities to define this FDS device as a clear candidate for higher level, certified training. We are excited and equally optimistic to see that future airline pilots are able to gain certified IFR training in an Airliner Training environment.  | B737NG Flight Training Device (Australia) FDS was approached to complete a partially constructed FTD based in Australia. Using PRO-M Series product like our B737NG Dual Seat Trainer, Pnp Pedestal and Overhead sections, CDU etc we accelerated the construction process and helped bring the trainer closer to functioning as intended. Flightdeck Solutions is able to supply FTD parts as well as complete Trainers. |
 | Boeing P8A Demonstrator Trailer In 2006, Boeing’s Military Group (Seattle) presented FDS with a contract to convert a B737-500 to a B737NG Series for their very sophisticated P-8A Multi-mission Maritime Aircraft project. The P-8A, a military derivative of the Next Generation 737-800 commercial aircraft, is the US Navy's replacement platform for the P-3C. The converted cockpit was delivered recently by FDS and Boeing is now on a Demonstration Tour throughout the USA utilizing a converted ractor/trailer. |
 | Professional Flight Training UK (A320 FBT) FDS recently shipped a full A320 FBT that will be used for conversion and familiarization training. This A320 FBT will be outfitted with real A320 seats procured by the customer and fully installed for training sessions in late 2008. |
