I would like to mention something about kids taking on a big project like an airline simulator. Does anyone recall a kid named Robert Prather? He was an innovator in this field when he was in high school with project 777. Kids today for the most part are way ahead of us old farts regarding computer ...

Real VNC

Frans: The Remote Desk Top link you found is the one I referred to in my post. It only allows non XP systems access to XP professional computers that have Remote Desk Top enabled. My computers are a mix of XP home and 98se. Sounds like Real VNC is the solution. I guess I'll have a go of it, thanks F...

Old MCP

Hi Joe,

Nice work. I'm ready to break out the cleco's here and start work on the same thing, any chance of a pic on the inside of the box? Just looking for better ideas.

I wonder if the FAA will consider this reckless operation. The Captain obviously does not know when to quit and puts his decision making abilities in question. Can you imagine being the director of operations watching this unfold on the news live witnessing one of your pilots behaving like this afte...

Hi John,

I designed the Mip stand on a bunch of scratch paper and round filed it as I went. If you would like specific dimensions or angles PM me and I'll get them for you.

Nat, thanks for the nice reply.

Boeing 737 pictures

Hi Nat,

Great job, very realistic. Thanks for the pic's. The light plates illuminate very well and the glare shield lights for the MCP and the flood light for the MIP create a nice touch. What kind of back lighting did you use for the various locations?

Lower eicas display

Lyle, The lower eicas display is a 10.4 NEC lcd that I bought off Ebay ( 80 bucks including shipping). I'm unaware of any other spec's for it. The Ebay description mentioned it was pulled from a kiosk so no case to remove and the electronics were neatly mounted on a piece of sheet metal with stand o...
