Re: Offset for Door Operation?

Yeah....I am resigned to doing it that way. I was just trying to save myself an hour's worth of effort involved with running wires from my pedestal up into the ceiling where my OH SysBoards are located (I am using a CPFlight interface for my MIP). Just a bit lazy, that's all. While I'm at it I will ...

Offset for Door Operation?

I want to toggle the doors open/close sequence using a dedicated switch connected to a Bodnar joystick card, but I can't seem to find the offset reference for that. Right now I have the door open/close function operational via the "Controlled by Beacon" checkbox in the server. I see that there is a ...

Re: Floating when landing

This is an interesting an informative thread. I find that getting a smooth landing is the most difficult part of the flight to master, and I have to admit that sometimes I encounter the floating phenomenon described here. So I have been viewing many real-world landing videos to study technique. I am...

I always tend to be a late adapter. I run a multi-channel setup that is dependent on third-party updates which typically lags. I also prefer to let the bugs in new software versions to be worked out first. Also, my sim right now is working as good as ever (P3D v4.5 + SimA 1.96). I also have many sce...

I occasionally will see the fuel/altitude warnings for no apparent reason. In those instances I simply ignore and all operates as expected without any issues. These instances are not new to 1.96 for me though....have occurred previously.

Multiple legs do work fine here...mostly operated that way for WorldFlight. In addition to cycling the F/Ds I also make a habit of disengaging/reengaging the MCP and flushing the runway approach frequency in the NAV from the previous flight (on occasion I have experienced APP mode being active on ta...

Concerning networks, I did some investigation and spoke with some people in the know...... VLANs are primarily used for security purposes to isolate communication traffic within complex networks. In that regard they may actually complicate and slow down network traffic in most cases, particularly if...

Hi Andy Using a VLAN is an interesting concept.... How exactly do you have that setup? For example, is there a second ethernet card in one (or more) of the VLAN computers that communicates with the outside world? Also, SimA (and some other programs) require an IP address to operate. How does that wo...

Hi Howard

It is hard to know what is exactly wrong, but if you make the following changes in the script it will at least stop the trim indicator servos from working so you can avoid damage:

In VARs 2044 and 2046 simply make all instances of &trimindmotor = 0.

Hi Everyone I had this issue too. After a few tests i still had the issue. I then decided no to have my ATC addon (ProAtcX) running. After testing it seemed that the issue was gone. So this is what was causing my issue. But i as stated in the previous post. I always recall autopilot, engine and fla...

APP Course

I have observed that for an APP ILS approach the defined course setting deviates slightly. For example, the course defined on the approach page in the FMC will fluctuate slightly...up to 2-3 degrees. Likewise the course displayed on the PFD when the ILS frequency is in range will also fluctuate slig...

Yes...This is for the 737. Also.....I did some further work today to better sync airspeed hold on altitude changes. The issue is that the increased thrust that occurs for an ascent causes the IAS to rise as much as 5-10 knots over target before the vertical speed rate catches up and takes over, at w...

Likewise.....Do try the mods I posted in this thread above for the SimA A/P Tuning section [FLTCHG]. Did several flights this weekend.....all were absolutely smooth including VNAV function. (Note: The mods I made to the aircraft.cfg file can be ignored...not necessary I have found.) Fred K What abo...
