Hearing from both of you seems like old times. I miss the gold old days when this forum was a lot more active with the pioneers of this hobby. Glad to see you guys are still around.

Well what do you know? Even a blind dog finds a bone every now and then. Didn't think I would find one today? What a great year it's going to be.

Garys, I have to disagree with you. PMDG has already indicated they will be working with P3D for professional flight simulation while stating this option will not be available to serious flight simmers for enternment. I think the issue that is holding up the availability of PMDG products for use wit...

DaddyBooks, I wouldn't give up on PMDG yet. Take a look at the recent post by the CEO of PMDG. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/426627-a-few-notes-regarding-pmdgs-position-on-p3d-development/ I am more encouraraged by what he says here then anything I have read in the past. If I were a betting man I thi...

Thanks for the reply. Someone on another forum sent me a link to the same info. Great information there. Now that Prepar3d is in beta I am taking the plunge and building my first water cooled computer. Phanteks is making a great case for water cooling and I should get mine in mid October.Going with ...

The ultimate computer setup for flightsim using P3d and Orbx

I just bought FTX Global and am really enjoying the scenery. There are some limitations based on my computer CPU and my video card. I have the intel i7 920 with a nvidia gtx 285 or 295 video card with 6 gigs of ram. So my question is what is the best CPU and best video card available today to use wi...

What a great time you must have had. This takes me back thirty six years ago when I was a bombardier navigator on the A-6 Intruder. Thanks for reminding me of those wonderful years. Amd yes I no longer look like I did back then. Hair is gone and I've added 2 pounds per year since this picture was ta...

Maurice, I made them high because my platform sits pretty high off the ground and I wanted to leave room for projectors above the cockpit if I mount them up top. Haven't really decided for sure just how I am doing projection yet.

Prepar3d

I realize I am way behind the power curve here. I have been trying to stay on top of what's going on with flight sim software but have missed the information about Prepar3d until I stumbled upon it today. In looking through the FDS forum I didn't find a lot of information here. Am I missing somethin...
