Hey guys,

You absolutely crack me up!! :D:D:D

By the way, airliners.net has the short link to the pictures right above them, where it says URL (link) to this photo: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0371273/M/ for example, for the Airbus pedestal.

Hey Keith,

Thanks for the link. That looks really good, but from what I can tell, FSX has much higher resolution for ground textures. Check out this post in Jason Waskey's blog. Jason is one of the art guys in the MSFS team.

Tim,

So this is just transparent acrylic? What thickness? I am surprised it reflects the image that well, without loosing a lot of brightness.

Hey Tim,

The acrylic mirror you're planning on using, it's a two-way mirror? Since you're going to put it in the line of sight of the pilot, I figured it would have to be. Where did you find this material?

For the record, I am not partial to one or the other, but in studying Plasma technology lately, plasmas now have an "orbiting" feature on each pixel, to avoid burn-ins. Each pixel is actually moving around in a circle, so small you can't notice it (I actually drove to the store to check out a Samsun...

Hey Jim, Crossfire and SLI are methods that ATI and nVidia, respectively, have developed in order to improve the rendering speed of computers. It is a simple idea, involving two video cards running in the same machine working in parallel, to render the same application, i.e. a game, or FS. SLI, or S...

Hey Stoney, WAIVER: The system described below is related to a Falcon 900. The cold air that cools the cabin is air straight from the bleed system, that has been cooled via the packs. On the ground, most bleed systems have an electric or pneumatic fan that blows air over a radiator, inside which hot...

Hey Stoney, I have them, the wireless kind. They work very well, and produce a very belivable 3D image in Flight Simulator. But the glasses themsleves lack a lot on ergonomics. They slip easily on your nose, are very squarish, and hurt the points at which they contact your head. All in all, I though...

B737NG pictures vault

Gents, A friend of mine has been hired by an airline flying a B737NG. He is going to be in the sim during February, but is already flying in the jump seat as part of his familiarization period. He has been nice enough to agree to take pictures for our community, so I hereby declare open the B737NG p...

Michal,

I have to say that I was left speechless after reading (trust me people, if you have not read Michal's story on the link above, you have to) the entire story about you and your yoke from Horizon. What a crook!

Thanks for exposing people like this to us, the possible victims.

Best regards,
