I do not like carpeting as I fried a card years ago because of static.

Rubber mat from Costco. Looks neat.

One of the greatest thing about this is when you push an FDS MIP into an FDS shell (on teflon pads) IT FITS PERFECT...and looks like a million!

As my base is 8X8 feet I have an extra 10 inches behind the back wall.
I will build this structure and skin it for rigidity with some gray melamine
The 10" depth will accomodate/hide PSUs and various hardware and make a nice frame for the door (not sure I will install a door).
Anyway just sharing a concept.
