Just want to double check before proceding with the throttle from FDS. The metal parts for the thrust reverse are they glued together? And if so what kind of glue? Also in the thrust reverser arms what holds all those pieces together. I don't thing glue will work because they have to move. A screw seems to big to fit inside the throttle arm itself.

thanks
Mark

Hello Mark,

I get the understanding of your questions. I had the same a bit when i got it. But let me try to help you...

The metal parts you can glue together with special metalglue that you can get in any store where they sell glue for all kind of things. But i only did glue the small parts together and the rest of the holes i put a screw in to hold the metal parts together.

You can see a example here...

Also on this picture you see how i conneted it all together. The holes are exactly 6 mm round so i used just a simple electrode that normaly is used to melt 2 pieces of iron together because it is also 6 mm and smooth round. I cut it so it fit nice in the holes of the lever. ( it takes some moment to put it all together but than you can screw it all together) and the lever will work with the reverse as well.

Any more questions be free to ask

succes

Thank you very much for the information its exactly the question I needed to have answered. They only thing I would ask is do you secure the 6MM electrode connectors in place or do they stay in by themselves inside the throttle arm?

thanks again

Hi Mark,

Happy i could solve your question... and yes they stay on there place because you close the whole lever at the end so if everythiing goes ok they cant move out of the holes anymore....

gr.
