Steering Tiller TRIM

Post by HowardChristian »

Hi,
I'm wondering if there is some way to adjust my Steering Tiller Trim?

I've tried assigning it with FSUIPC & also tried with SysBoard Controller.
But seems no matter how much I play with the numbers the aircraft always wants to travel left or right & by a fair degree.

If there's someway I could trim it I might be getting somewhere.
The Tiller I have was originally from Northern Flight Sim & spring loaded to to return to centre.

Thanks
Howard.

Forgot to mention..
The Tiller just has a POT that's connected to a Bodinar BU0836 card.

I would refer to the FSUIPC USer Manual and follow the instructions on calibration and setting up flight controls.

Sounds like you need to work on the Null Zone settings.

Hi Steve,
Thank you for your reply re my issue.
I've done everything exactly per the fsuipc manual but i still have the same problem. I've also checked the pot & it's definitely a linear pot. 10k.

My tiller doesn't have any gearing either, it's just directly driven.
But I have discovered that it's operating vastly better if I dedicate solely it's own BU0836 & don't share the card with any other Axis, but it still wants to steer to the side, markedly.

Howard,

Have you calibrated it in the windows game controller as well?

As Steve said, it sounds like you need to set the null zone, within FSUIPC this is called the "Delta" i believe.
