Recent updates have changed the manual braking function.

Previously tapping the toe brakes on roll out would invoke manual braking which worked well but may not have been true to real aircraft.

It a bit different now and I would like to know what the logical preconditions have to be to allow this automatic switch to manual breaking.

1: I assume the flap position has nothing to do with it.
2: Does the position of the reversers have any influence?
3: What speed range is the function allowed?

Thanks

As far as I remember, auto-brake is disarmed if : spoilers down, applying meaningful pressure on the brakes (not a tap) or advancing throttles, then you get the "manual braking" warning.

How are your brakes assigned?

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions.
I just completed a flight and everything worked just fine as I expected so I think it was my issue.

My brakes are assigned thru FSUIPS and work fine however I had been messing with them. I found that when taxing slowly they were difficult to apply evenly at the same time and so I would always get a pull left or right.

I solved this by putting both assignments to the left pedal and then assigning the right brake there as well, effectively eliminating dual brakes. But my “mono” brakes did stop the pulling. Maybe better brake peddles would be smoother.

I had also adjusted the curve and I think that was the real issue and now I have to apply more meaningfull pressure to get the manual breaking function. (as Jack said a tap won’t do it)

So I think this was my issue and definitely solved.
