B727 Nose EBAY..

Post by pcos »

Not a bad price to start. Reserve might not be so bad..
The Throttles are a bit of a task to flip to 37 but the rest is pretty much the same as the 37... maybe something for a local builder to think on:

It looks like from where the cut was made, the whole back wall would be missing does this seem correct?

It would seem that would be the case. Easy enough to make though. I think its great to see these sections starting to go for a reasonable price again. It was nuts there for a while.

Notice that the Windshield seems to be all there. THAT is very rare..
The FE station would be taking up space that for sure is not left..
I would say its cut well inside the door..

Man, the nose didnt sell. At $4500 this is a good price I'd say. I know someone who has a 737-200 nose already mounted on a steel base with all the guts taken out and ready for painting. He's considered selling it to me, but I think the price is a bit too high, although the price he's saying is what he's put into it for the nose with all the original parts included like the orig. yokes/columns, pedals, eyebrow/window plastic, old style pedestal and TQ, and seats for around $15000. It's all in emaculate condition, but I have seen 'em go cheaper and now to see a 727 w/the glass still in it for $4500. Wow. I almost talked my wife into it! If I just had a partner in the SE Ga./NE FL area....it'd be mine.

It was at $1000.00 30 min before the action closed.... I bid it up to $2000.00 but stopped to keep the wife off my back...

I'll send the guy an email to see what his plans are now.

He emailed me back and said he has the 727 and an A300 nose section.

Said he would work out a great deal for the pair.

He emailed me some pictures.... if anyone has any interest shoot me an email and I'll forward them to you.

727/737 Shell

Post by Tomlin »

To ALL who know the answer to these questions from personal experiance (PCos, Mark from down under, others...)-

Contemplating this 727 Nose section for an NG sim,

I know that:

The shell is the same dems as the 737
The yokes and pedals are basically identical as the 737

However, are the-

1) Seats basically the same, except the older style?
2) The plastic moulding pieces (like the eyebrows) and ESPECIALLY the window and side plastic all identical? I assume they are.
3) Overhead Racks the same dems?

Thanks everyone who can answer from experiance.
