Last night after running for over a year my overheads IBL lights suddenly went off. After doing some test this morning, it turned out that the main 5v line from the PSU to the overhead power distribution block had blown its 10a fuse. Don't know why, but I am really glad I installed fuses in all main power feed lines.
I replaced the fuse and its all working again. I will keep an eye on it and if it blows again, I will have to look for a cause.

|
|
Next item to be added to my cockpit will be a pair of stick shakers which I recently obtained. One was in pretty good condition,
but the second ones paint was peeling off and was non-functional. On disassembly it was obvious it had water inside for some time and the mechanism was completely seized.
After doing a complete restoration on it, the mechanism and motor was brought back to life and after removing all the paint, it was repainted. Below are the results partially reassembled.
Now just need to finish assembly and reproduce the part plaque and manufactures label.

Just need to reproduce original labels and then I’m done with this one.

I just put a new video up on my YouTube Channel. It's a flight from KLAS to KLAX, but the main purpose of the video is to answer some of the questions my subscribers often ask.
The actual Q&A start around 12mins into the video.

Hi David,
I have the 737 DSDT FDS MIP and want to add the FI chronometers just like you did.
I will obviosuly have the same problem you did with requiring the adapters that you cleverly made with the 3D printer. I was wondering whether you would consider and be kind enough to provide the 3D file for this adapter so that I can maketwo for my cockpit?
Many thanks in advance,
