Throttles on JM737 not in synch (Resolved)

Post by jonahbird »

I have just fitted new pots as supplied by FDS.

Having configured the throttle levers, I find they are out of synch. When I move both forward the right throttle lags behind. This makes it impossible to control when taxiing, and for take off, and no doubt in flight. Using the Windows configurer, the sliders moved together also show the lag.

Is there a way to correct this? I am fearing another dismantling to access the pots, with a view to repositioning the spindle on the sprocket wheel.
Regards
Frank

Hi Jack

We thought for a long time that configuration was the problem, but eventually we realised that the fitting of the new pots was the cause of our difficulties.

The two throttle pots fit in opposite directions - there's the clue.

When installing them to locate the spindles of the sprockets, the left throttle should be fully forward and the right should be fully back.

The pots turn through 75% of their diameter, so they should be fitted at stop positions which allow for the full travel.

As easy as that!
