Hi,

When starting up the cockpit, I activate the ground power. All comes alive.
When starting APU (aft fuel pump - ON ; All other are off), I get the gauge slightly to move and the LOW OIL PRESSURE lights up. All ok here. Then the story stops. I stays like that for ages. gauge does not move seems to be frozen, which it is not. I've checked all settings in the SYSBoard and are configured correctly.

When selecting "Start APU" from the Server / Flight controls / Config 1, it works.

Anyone an idea?

Hi,

I think I found the root cause. The bat switch is inverted on the overhead.
I'm using the FDS ELEC panel for it. Though, as the switch has an indentation as well as the panel, I can't rotate it. How can I in SYSBoard Interface swap the position ON = OFF and OFF = ON.

Thx.

Hi Jack,

The holes for the switches in the overhead are not completely circular (as the switch also has a cut on the thread. There is an indent so the switch can be mounted only in one way. I have the FDS ELEC panel (which does not need any configuration in the SYSBoard interface.

In my situation, when on the overhead I switch the battery to ON, the SYSBoard interprets it as being OFF. The switch used is an ON-OFF, so only one possible way to connect the wiring. Rotating the switch is not possible. I had a spare ON-OFF-ON switch. Replaced it with that one and reversed the wiring. Now when the switch is in the BATT ON position, it is in fact OFF. The SYSBoard then interprets it as ON.

I know, strange. But, it's working now.

I see.
BTW I cut out many of these tabs over the years when needed.

There are several versions of the ELEC/CAB and the SYSBoard Controller under the SYSBoard STatus there is an options tab for each version. Checking each option is how you can make the changes.

Hi Steve,

Thx for the reply.
I know they are there. How can I determine which one applies to my version? Or is it best to test one by one.

Also, whilst checking this I've noticed that on the EFIS the Baro is also inverted... turning left is Hpa/IN UP (29.92 -> 29.93), and turning right is DOWN (29.93 -> 29.92).

Could this also be related to the option(s)? I had it working fine in the past (before SYSBoard).
I've been out for several years due to professional reasons and ATPL training. Wink
As far as I can see based on the SIM-A manual, the EFIS panels and MCP do not require any configuration. Or, am I wrong Embarassed ?

In the SYSBoard Controler folder and inside the Config.ini file you can make those changes.

// Reverse MINS/BARO Selector Directions
CPT_MINS_REVERSE=0
CPT_BARO_REVERSE=0
FO_MINS_REVERSE=0
FO_BARO_REVERSE=0

// Swap Rotary Encoder Positions
CPT_MINS_BARO_SWAP=0
FO_MINS_BARO_SWAP=0

// Reverse Rotary Encoder Directions
CPT_MINS_DIRECTION_REVERSE=0
CPT_BARO_DIRECTION_REVERSE=0
FO_MINS_DIRECTION_REVERSE=0
FO_BARO_DIRECTION_REVERSE=0

Then save and restart the software.
