A320 Cockpit Dimensions

Post by Dark Luke »

Hi guys,

does anyone of you have detailed charts of an A320 cockpit with dimensions, or does anyone know where to find some?

We are getting ready to start an A320 flightdeck, but for now having a hard time finding exact plans of the original.

Help greatly appreciated! :D

Regards,

Lukas

If somebody has that, I would like it too.

FDS is very likely to have the dimensions, but as they sell shells, they probably won't give their data away.

Anyway, their A320 shell is very interresting. The problem is that there is only very few data on the site about the mechanical design of this item... which is the important part for an item that will support a part of the structure !

Yes I know this site... Unfortunately, most of the measures are made on parts that FDS can supply with an amazing quality !

I was thinking about general dimensions (those of the shell basically).

Thanks for the link Peter!

It sure helps a lot, but for some areas the pictures are not exactly enough.

Does anyone (or especially you guys at FDS) have real charts of the cockpit?
For areas like the side stick area or the overhead panels and the area surrounding it and several other complicated parts in the flightdeck it would be nice to have plans.

All panels are based on the real size.. Ones you have the panels (like overhead) you can exactly see what the total size will be to make your housing.

Sidestick area's are not a basic product but ones again when you know the distance of the total MIP and the size of the padestal you also could know the size of the sidestick housing minus size of chairs. The site URL Peter did put here will give a nice indication about this.

NOTE: it is not a good thing to put sizes here or to start to building anything before you have the panels in your hand. Just to avoid suprises and any blame back for given incorrect information. Where possible Peter will put information about size on website.
